Shelton State Community College’s Adult Education programs are set to begin on May 26 and June 1. These online classes are free, and focus on topics such as digital literacy, workplace skills and GED preparation.
The digital literacy course is desktop, laptop and tablet-friendly, and teach essential computer, software and technology skills. Completing the course provides the student with Digital Literacy Certificates from Shelton State and Northstar.
The workplace success class focuses on commercial driving, while there are other courses for GED preparation as well as English as a second language. The GED preparation is designed to cover language arts, social studies, science and mathematics.
The ESL course aims to fine tune English skills through civics and real life situations. ESL classes are available now.
